This article provided detailed examples of propaganda posters that were used during the cultural revolution. I was able to see what was promoted during the campaign, and noticed the focus on working-class citizens becoming revolutionaries and fighting for Mao's ideals. Emphasis was put on the teachings of Mao, with the posters usually depicting people holding or reading his book filled with quotations. Symbolism also played a part in the propaganda; for example, the color red and the sun were used heavily to support the idea of communism bringing happiness to the country. I found this source useful because it directly related to my research question of how propaganda affected the citizens of China. I learned how the posters convinced people to support the Revolution by connecting it with happiness and success, as seen by the models' smiling faces and energetic stances in the artwork.
